About the sign
A clear do not feed the animals sign displays the text Do not feed the animals alongside the prohibition symbol for feeding animals. It is commonly placed on fences, gates and enclosures at farms, zoos, nature reserves, paddocks and public parks where visitors come into close contact with livestock or wildlife.
Displaying a visible notice helps protect animal health by preventing members of the public from offering unsuitable food. Clear signage sets firm expectations for visitors and helps keep both animals and people safe around enclosures and grazing areas.
You can select from several ready-made designs and choose the sign type and size that suit your location. If you need different wording to match your specific site, you can easily adjust the text in the chat using our AI designer.
Questions and answers
Where is the best place to mount this sign?
Place the sign at eye level on fences, gates, viewing areas or along footpaths where visitors gather or approach the animals.
Which material should I choose for outdoor enclosures?
For fences and outdoor paddocks, choose the sturdy outdoor sign with UV laminate, which is made to last for years. We also offer a UV-printed PVC sign for indoor areas and a laminated sticker with UV laminate for smooth surfaces.
How do I pick the right size for my site?
Choose a smaller size if visitors will read the notice up close by a gate, and a larger size if the sign needs to be seen from further away across a field or enclosure.
Can I change the text on the sign?
Yes, you can customise the wording in our AI designer chat if you wish to mention specific animals or add a polite note for visitors.
